Community Energy, Inc. is looking for interns to join its fun, professional and dynamic team! This is a paid internship and great opportunity for a college student or recent graduate to gain real-life experience with an entrepreneurial leader in clean energy technologies, policy and green marketing while being exposed to a wide variety of job roles. The ideal candidate would be available for a minimum of 30 hours per week (summer), must be flexible, professional and able to manage multiple tasks. Responsibilities may include market research, data analytics, customer and administrative assistance, and heading up special projects.

Community Energy is looking for a qualified legal professional as a new member of the legal team reporting to General Counsel in Boulder, Colorado, to assist the company with real estate and project transactions nationally. The position holds room for growth in the exciting and expanding field of renewable energy development. Position tasks include, but are not limited to, drafting and negotiating real estate agreements and leases, reviewing title commitments and shaping up financeable title policies, and managing items necessary to project closings.
Specific Job Responsibilities include:
Title and survey review, including all aspects of preparing title/survey objection letters and responses, drafting and obtaining crossing agreements and zoning letters, working with surveyors and title officers on various survey or title coverage issues, and obtaining final approved surveys and title policies;
Drafting leases, purchase option agreements, and other real estate agreements, and negotiating these real estate agreements with knowledge of relevant financing concerns and conforming to local recording requirements;
Coordinating real estate aspects of solar project closings with developers, counterparties, title companies, surveyors, and/or lenders; and
Miscellaneous property research and due diligence projects, responding to various real estate related requests, routine handling of correspondence, and the ability to follow through on multiple projects to ensure all deadlines are met for assigned transactions.
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience from within a law firm or in-house corporate law department;
• A bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate;
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills;
• An intermediate level of technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
• Available for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
