Community Energy, Inc. — Internship

Community Energy, Inc. is looking for interns to join its fun, professional and dynamic team! This is a paid internship and great opportunity for a college student or recent graduate to gain real-life experience with an entrepreneurial leader in clean energy technologies, policy and green marketing while being exposed to a wide variety of job roles. The ideal candidate would be available for a minimum of 30 hours per week (summer), must be flexible, professional and able to manage multiple tasks. Responsibilities may include market research, data analytics, customer and administrative assistance, and heading up special projects.

• Strategic Initiatives (Markets/Policy/Modeling/Transactions)

Qualifications:
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-directed and able to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment

Position Description:
Community Energy is currently seeking a new team member to support the Marketing and Sales division on its retail programs and operating projects portfolio.  This position will be responsible for customer management and marketing operations on energy retail programs, including but not limited to executing and evaluating approved program marketing plans, responding to customer inquiries, processing customer enrollments and cancellations, and producing reporting for internal management and utility partners.  This position will work closely with the Accounting, Marketing + Sales, and Customer Service teams. Further, this position holds room for growth in the exciting and expanding field of renewable energy development. 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent professional experience, with customer service experience
  • Understanding of basic Accounting concepts
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint required
  • Professional presence and strong communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet assigned deadlines
  • Ability to think creatively, respond to challenges and improve existing processes
  • Ability to perform at a high level with significant autonomy

Position Description:

The person in this position will be responsible for general administrative duties, including but not limited to: populating approved document templates, proofreading documents, tracking project tasks, scheduling conference calls, and preparing mailings.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years professional experience
• Professional presence and strong written/verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Adobe Acrobat
• Excellent organization skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Can effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet assigned deadlines
• Ability to perform at a high level with significant autonomy
• Some familiarity with legal documents preferred
• 20 hours a week to start, possibility of increased hours and flexible scheduling
