It’s Award Season for Green Power Customers!

Who needs an Oscar?  Our green power customers are winners and they have the awards to prove it!  In November, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Department of Energy, and the Center for Resource Solutions, sponsored the 2011 Green Power Leadership Awards.  Community Energy customer Franklin & Marshall College was awarded the national Green Power Purchasing award for their leading sponsorship of the Keystone Solar Project in Pennsylvania. F&M’s unique purchase is impactful as it is directly linked to new renewable development.  Community Energy customer Mercyhurst College was also awarded the Green Power Purchasing award for its 100 percent green power commitment.
 
PennFuture’s Green Power Awards ceremony took place in October and recognized Marywood University for its purchase of Pennsylvania wind energy and Franklin & Marshall College for its wind and Pennsylvania solar purchases.  Congratulations to Franklin & Marshall College, Mercyhurst College, Marywood University, and all of our customers.  Together we are increasing the amount of renewable energy and building a sustainable future.
