Run for Clean Air and Local Wind Energy

Community Energy recently participated in the Philadelphia based Clean Air Council’s annual 5K Run for Clean Air! The event took place Saturday April 16th in the shadows of the Philadelphia Art Museum.  Since 1981, the Run has been the Philadelphia Region's largest Earth Day event.  Always fun and a great workout, this year did not disappoint. Despite being cold and windy, thousands of Philadelphia area residents came out in support!

Community Energy and the Clean Air Council have been partners in leading the way to a clean energy future in the greater Philadelphia area for over 10 years. This year at the run, CEI promoted a new 100% PA Wind competitive supply green power option for PECO utility customers.  Clean Air Council runners had the opportunity to receive free race registration for choosing to buy electricity from this clean source.

If you live in Pennsylvania in the PECO utility territory, CEI’s 100% PA wind offering is available to you.  This PA Wind option is offered through a partnership between electricity supplier Verde Energy USA and Community Energy.  Earn a $50 cash back bonus just for signing up!  If you’re a PECO utility customer and are interested in learning more about how you can support 100% local PA wind power, please visit: www.CommunityEnergyInc.com/PAWind.
