CEI Selected to Build 7MW New Jersey Solar Project
Community Energy (CEI) led the development of the 7.5 megawatt Jersey-Atlantic Wind Farm in Atlantic City and is now expanding the portfolio of renewables in New Jersey with a utility scale solar farm. CEI was one of three companies selected to build solar energy projects totaling 12 megawatts. CEI will develop 7 megawatts at sites that include the Landis Sewerage Authority and other areas within the City of Vineland.
The project will help the City reach its goal of producing 20 percent of its energy from renewable energy sources by 2015. It is estimated that the 12 megawatts will produce enough energy to power approximately 1,200 homes.
CEI is very proud to develop part of this project, which will be the largest solar installation in New Jersey. This landmark project is a giant leap for New Jersey and the Mid-Atlantic region in boosting the scale of solar energy projects. Community Energy is thrilled to help both the City of Vineland and the State of New Jersey build a clean energy future.
