CEI Selected to Expand Renewable Energy Portfolio in New Jersey with Solar Project
Community Energy (CEI) led the development of the 7.5 megawatt Jersey-Atlantic Wind Farm in Atlantic City and is now expanding the portfolio of renewables in New Jersey with a large scale solar farm. CEI was one of three companies selected to build a 12 megawatt solar energy project. CEI will develop 7 megawatts at sites that include the Landis Sewerage Authority and other areas within the City of Vineland.

The American Solar-Powered Car Race Finishes in Naperville, IL
The 2010 American Solar Challenge (ASC2010) is a competition to design, build, and drive solar-powered cars in a cross-country race from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to Naperville, Illinois. It is fitting that the race should end in Naperville, home of the nationally-ranked Naperville Renewable Energy Program with upwards of 9% of the community purchasing IL wind and solar. This year’s route was chosen to combine sections of old routes used in previous ASC races and incorporate a historical tribute of the last 20 years of organized solar events in North America.

Voluntary Renewable Energy Coalition (VREC)
May 26 marked the official launch of the Voluntary Renewable Energy Coalition (VREC), a grassroots coalition of organizations that share a common belief in the importance of the voluntary renewable energy market. The 50 Founding Members of VREC include companies, nonprofits, school districts, and municipal agencies across the United States. There is no fee to sign up as a supporter of VREC.
