Casselman Wind Farm Opens for Business
The Casselman Wind Power Project, located in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, is hosting its official dedication ceremony on Thursday, October 16th.  Completed in early 2008, this project will generate 34.5 megawatts of clean, emission-free wind energy and will contribute jobs and tax revenue to the local economy.  This 23 turbine project is expected to generate enough electricity to power more than 10,000 homes according to calculations by the American Wind Energy Association.  » Read More 


Muffins and Carbon Offsets
The City Bakery, which uses 100% wind power, is always seeking new and creative ways to help the environment.  City Bakery will now include the gift of green energy in their annual holiday gift basket.  Along with an assortment of local gourmet treats and gifts the basket will contain a Community Energy gift card which offsets the electricity usage of an average home during the holiday season.  Based on the average annual usage of the American home, the gift card represents green power for the holidays- from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day.  » Read More
