There is No Away



Now that spring is finally upon us, the urge to clean out the closets, the garage and the shed is strong. But the realization that we are responsible for the proper disposal of everything we own is daunting. We can no longer pretend that when we put things at the curb they simply disappear with out an environmental trace.  What to do?

Energia Ecologica Para Todos



Members of the Community Energy team recently attended a ribbon cutting ceremony to unveil a solar photovoltaic (PV) system at The Goodwin Memorial Branch of the Hartford Public Library in Hartford, Connecticut.   The 8-kW solar system is the first installation of the 10 kW the City has earned through the Connecticut Clean Energy Communities program and is valued at approximately $80,000.

Community Energy Earth Day Volunteer Event



Community Energy employees volunteered at a local animal shelter for Earth Day.  The shelter, the Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals, is minutes from our office in suburban Philadelphia.  The shelter is situated on a wooded property surrounded by a fence, and leaves from last fall were piled high on both sides of the fence.  We raked the old leaves into bags to be taken to a compost heap.  We raked!  We raked for hours...
