Community Energy is continuing its long-standing tradition of greening the now-massive Windpower Conference and Exhibition. This is the annual gathering of the entire wind energy business put on by the American Wind Energy Association. This year’s conference is in Chicago and promises to be the biggest event yet with over 15,000 attendees expected and 1,200 exhibitors. Staff from Community Energy have been attending this conference for years and have witnessed exponential growth in attendance.

This year we are donating Wind Energy Certificates to offset the electricity used at the event and we are providing attendees the opportunity to offset emissions associated with their travel to and from the event through the purchase of Green-e® Climate certified Community Carbon Offsets. The carbon offsets are sourced from wind energy projects in the US, making a really nice synergy with the mission of the Windpower conference.
