The Longue Vue Club has purchased wind energy to cover all of the electricity used to power their fleet of golf carts.  In addition to golf, the Longue Vue Club offers sporting clays, tennis, swimming, and paddle tennis.  The Clubhouse is a National Historic Landmark and the grounds are known for their spectacular gardens.

Located in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, Longue Vue Club has differentiated itself as being a family focused club community.  Tod Pierce of Long Vue said of the club’s wind energy purchase, “There is no better way to honor the family than by focusing on green initiatives in an effort to leave the planet in better shape for our members’ children.”

The wind powered golf carts set a great example and prevent the release of 45,198 pounds of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.  Riding a cart around the beautiful grounds will be that much more enjoyable knowing they are powered using wind energy!
