Where Has Customer Service Gone?

A recent unexpected cancellation of a flight to depart Chicago’s O’Hare airport left me sitting in the airport for 12 hours, without any particular effort to assist me or a single apology from anyone on the airline’s staff. At this morning’s doctor’s appointment, the receptionist spoke shortly and gruffly when I checked in.
These experiences have left me thinking, where has customer service gone? I want to feel valued and appreciated by the organizations that I bring my business to. Instead, I often feel like I am inconveniencing them, which I find backwards!
I am proud to work for a company that values customer service. Each inquiry is taken seriously and followed through on promptly. We want our customers to be happy, satisfied, feel good about being our customer and assured that we will be responsive when they need something. I must say our customer service team is an extraordinarily friendly team of individuals who take pride in what they do, which is quite refreshing these days.
So customers, thanks for supporting green power and call us if you need anything - we’ll be sure to answer with a smile on the other end of the line!
