I don’t usually rifle through my wife’s mail (ok, yes I do), especially her alumni magazine from her high school, Buckingham, Browne and Nichols, in Cambridge, MA. When I turned to the back cover of the most recent issue, I received a nice surprise: Community Energy’s Printed with 100% Wind Energy logo staring back at me in all its glory. I was excited to see the printer and our customer, Flagship Press, using the logo to demonstrate their commitment to wind energy for all to see. Flagship Press deserves to get some credit for choosing to match 100% of the electricity at their North Andover, MA facility with wind-generated Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) from Community Energy.

When it comes to this logo, it isn’t just about the printer showing off. Buckingham, Browne and Nichols, and other consumers of printing services, including Community Energy ourselves, are faced every day with a proliferation of options of printing companies. When organizations choose to work with printing companies, like Flagship Press, they help push wind energy into the mainstream. They encourage all printers to choose wind energy and that helps boost the demand for wind farms all across the country.
