Community Energy is composed of a group of people that are passionate about making a difference in our daily lives through promoting renewable energy, recycling, education, forestation and social involvement, to name a few.  Having a sense of community or being a part of a community is widely studied and usually called sociology, anthropology and sometimes psychology.  Communities are said to have been established to guard and protect, hunt and gather, nurture and care and also create a sense of self. 

I write about this because Community Energy is a group of people drawn together by common interests and passion, not by culture and need.  We have created a community in which we operate 40 hours a week (ok guys, maybe more, but you get the point).  When each of us leaves our office community (including you, the ardent reader) we enter into another community whether it be family, another job, friends or a video arcade.  Community has  become our choice, not a need.

Often when people call us to inquire about making a green power purchase, they  ask how many people are already enrolled in their area.  People like to know that they are part of a renewable energy community of likeminded individuals.  Our Community Energy community is made up of people who hope for and believe in a better future.  We are glad you’re here.
