Topic: Assorted Green

Believe it or not, just six months ago I was pretty new to this whole blog scene.  In fact, I didn’t even know what an RSS feed was.  To some of you this may seem bizarre… how was I able to function?  Well, honestly it was quite easy. But I must say, now that my RSS feeds are active in my Outlook account, my world has changed for the better.

For those of you who may not be plugged into the blogosphere, I thought I’d take this opportunity to help you adjust to the technology.  Common Craft, a team of two centered on making videos that are “short, simple and focused on making complex ideas easy to understand” has done a great job explaining the RSS feed with a cute and easy to understand video that you can check out below.

Another thing I’ve learned over the last six months is that Blogging can make you greener. There are so many knowledgeable people and organizations out there with information to share on green living, clean energy, enviro-design, etc. that the knowledge resources to go ‘green’ are literally at your fingertips.  All you need to do is click that RSS feed and the information is delivered to your doorstep…er… inbox.  Some of my favorite green Blogs include Treehugger, Earth First, Good Clean Tech, Environmental Graffiti and the Huffington Post.  Aside from becoming a regular subscriber to our Community Blog, I encourage you to check out these other blogs and see what you can find!
