A Look at Our Commercial and Institutional Accounts…

As a customer service and marketing manager for our commercial and institutional accounts I have the pleasure of working with other marketing managers, public relations contacts and decision makers on the customer’s side to help them promote and communicate their clean energy commitments. Often times, the most important stakeholders that our customers are interested in communicating to are their employees and customers.
Some businesses make a big splash out of their commitment by launching a green campaign with a press release, on-site signage, and informational emails and fliers describing the environmental benefits of their purchase and informing others about how they can sign up for green power too. Others however keep a lower profile and make commitments to wind energy to jump start larger sustainability initiatives, like achieving carbon reduction goals. Their renewable energy certificate (REC) purchase allows them to take immediate action on climate change and promote the development of more wind farms while developing a more comprehensive strategy to become more energy efficient and green throughout their supply chain.
We love all of our customers, no matter if they choose to actively promote their support of wind power generation or not, because each purchase makes a difference. This month Community Energy welcomes the following commercial and institutional accounts that have purchased wind-generated RECs to match 100% of the electricity usage. These customers include: Eastern University (PA); Innovation Printing (PA); Kent Place School (NJ); Menzies Printers (Alberta); Regis University (CO); and Wheal-Grace (NJ)! We applaud their leadership!
