A Faulty Furnace Leads to Green Discoveries
Send this blog to a friend
A few months ago, not long after I begrudgingly decided it was finally time to turn on the heat, I noticed that my house wasn’t really warming up. After closer inspection I realized that the gas furnace itself was not able to keep pressure, and the safety valve continued to trip after the furnace would ignite.
Hmmm… time to call someone.
Fortunately, I made the right call. Tim McFarland of Air I Breath LLC came that night to inspect and service my (very old) furnace. In addition to restored heat and warmth, I was appreciative of Tim’s service because he took the time to explain the heating system and how I could better manage it. I was also pleased to discover that Tim is an environmentally responsible individual and business owner.
In addition to service and maintenance of HVAC systems, Tim also offers solutions for improving indoor air quality and responsibly managing energy use. Tim described three products in particular that piqued my interest – a whole-house energy management system , a hot water heating system fuel economizer, and a forced air heating system fuel economizer. These gadgets are relatively inexpensive, with 12 – 24 month paybacks typically, and can help you save energy, conserve fuel, and extend the life of your systems.
So as you consider additional ways to green your home and reduce your overall environmental impact, consider these products. Give Tim a call (610-394-9990) to learn more about these products and how you can implement them in your home.
