Transaction Associate – Legal and Accounting»

Community Energy, Inc., a renewable energy company based in Radnor, Pennsylvania, is seeking a Transaction Associate to handle legal and accounting transactions arising out of our expanding solar generation development business. This position will be responsible for working with management and project developers to close finance and sale transactions for solar generation projects, establishing and maintaining contract and document administration for a wide range of project development assets, and handling document filings including corporate, tax, state and annual reports. Legal and/or accounting experience with excellent skills in organization and project management will serve this position well. The position will assist in closing of project finance and sale transactions, as well as related corporate transactions, including finalizing documents and following up on closing checklists. Office team responsibilities include contract administration, supply requisition, and sharing tasks as part of an effective accounting and operations team.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum 5 years professional experience
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint required
• Professional presence and strong communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet assigned deadlines, to think
creatively and devise alternate approaches to challenges and improve existing processes
• Ability to perform at a high level with significant autonomy
• Some Accounting/Tax experience preferred

Solar Project Assistant Developer - Chapel Hill, NC»

Community Energy, a leading renewable energy company, is seeking highly motivated candidates for a full-time Assistant Project Developer position based in Chapel Hill, NC supporting the origination and development of solar projects in North Carolina and the Southeast. The position reports to the Director of Business Development – Southeast, in the Company’s Chapel Hill, NC office.

Community Energy is a leading developer of utility-scale solar projects nationally, with a ten-year track record of solar and wind development at utility scale. This opening is part of the expansion of the Company’s successful solar project development in the North Carolina, focused on the origination of new solar projects five to one hundred megawatts in size.

The Assistant Project Developer will work with a team of people supporting various aspects of solar project development. Tasks include research, preparation of applications and communications, review of contracts, studies and reports, maintaining project records, and other ad hoc tasks as the need arises.

The ideal candidate is self-driven, flexible, and detail-oriented. Office management or paralegal experience beneficial. The Company culture is non-hierarchical and attracts highly motivated, accountable, results-oriented individuals with high standards, all of which are prerequisites for the position. Position will commence as a full-time independent contractor, with the possibility of conversion to full-time employee. Pay scale in the range of $20-$30 per hour, commensurate with experience and abilities.
