Marketing Associate

Community Energy, Inc., a leading renewable energy developer and marketer, is currently seeking highly motivated candidates for a full-time Marketing Associate, to be based in the company headquarters in Radnor, PA. The position will report directly to the Director of Marketing and Business Development.

The ideal Marketing Associate is a self-driven, smart individual looking to help advance a leading renewable energy company and grow with the organization.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Enhance Community Energy website functioning and efficiency and improve search engine optimization
  • Grow web presence through digital marketing campaigns, such as: blog, social media, online advertising, mobile marketing, photo and video, direct email, e-certificates, and e-newsletters
  • Compile regular reports and work with Marketing Analyst to analyze data related to website and marketing campaign metrics
  • Increase sales and enrollments through the implementation of innovative, cutting-edge marketing efforts
  • Draft marketing material content
  • Act as a brand steward, ensuring that all communications have consistent branding and effectively represent the Community Energy brand
  • Manage relationship with service vendors and communicate with partner company contacts
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Services teams as necessary
  • Special projects as requested by Director of Marketing & Business Development and VP of Sales & Marketing

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

  • Impeccable attention to detail and eagerness to learn
  • Demonstrated knowledge of social media and other digital marketing tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum two years applicable professional experience
  • Professional presence and eloquence; strong communication skills
  • Above-average writing ability and analytical thinking
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet assigned deadlines; ability to think creatively and devise alternate approaches to challenges and improve upon existing processes
  • High tolerance for unknowns; flexibility for changes in course; and ability to work independently and complete work with minimal supervision
  • Goal-oriented performance philosophy; ability to manage to the goal and maintain priorities

Candidates are preferred, but not required, to possess the following:

  • Working knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, the renewable energy industry
  • Experience working with HTML, Photoshop, InDesign, Quark, and Adobe Illustrator
  • Experience in copywriting, preparing marketing strategies, and/or client relations

Community Energy, a leading national wind energy marketer, is seeking an energetic, self-starter with a passion for promoting clean energy in and around New York City.  Help promote clean, home-grown wind power and make a difference by signing up new residential and small business customers!  This is a grass roots effort and lots of fun.

Responsibilities include: 

    • Enroll new customers in the Con Ed Solutions WIND Power   program in New York City and Westchester, Orange and Rockland counties.  www.communityenergyinc.com/nyc
    • Enroll new customers in clean energy programs offered in New Jersey, Long Island, and Connecticut.  
    • Responsible for meeting direct sales and marketing goals
    • Manage day-to-day activity, operations and scheduling for NYC metro team
    • Manage part-time staff of 3-5
    • Help organize direct outreach and education efforts in NYC metro area
    • Weekend work is required

Sales and marketing channels may include:
    • Event marketing
    • Tabling at retail locations
    • Presenting to community/environmental groups
    • Grass-roots networking through local organizations/neighborhoods
    • Community-based web marketing

Qualifications:
    • Sales, Marketing or Grass Roots Campaign experience is helpful
    • Interest in or knowledge of renewable energy industry
    • Desire to make a difference
    • Familiarity with NYC metro area – NYC, Westchester, Orange, Rockland, NJ, LI, CT
    • Access to a reliable vehicle is highly desirable

Compensation is commission based with first year earning potential of $60,000+.  Excellent benefits offered after 90 days.

Community Energy, Inc. is looking for interns to join its fun, professional and dynamic team!   This is a great opportunity for a college student or recent graduate to gain real life experience with a small business in clean energy technologies, policy and green marketing while being exposed to a wide variety of job roles and responsibilities.  The ideal candidate would be available for a minimum of 10 hours per week, must be flexible, professional and able to manage multiple tasks.  Responsibilities may include research, administrative assistance, customer service and heading up special projects.
